It is with regret that the Wednesday Club, founded some 25 years ago and loosely associated with St. Helen's Church, Abingdon, has been closed.
We wish to thank Sue and Mike Austin for keeping the Club running, not forgetting the service given by Rod & Brenda Hunt, Reg & Dorthothy Gibson, John Prior and Angela & Brian Anderson.
Thanks are also due to all previous members of the Club Committee and attendees for their support over the years.
You are welcome to join the Friends of St.Helen's which meet in St.Helen's Church Centre. Their next meeting is on Friday 27th January at 7.30pm for wine and cheese nibbles followed by a talk by Rev Paul Smith called: "Does he take Holy Communion? A Pilgrim's Journey in an Able Bodied Church". The Friends of St.Helen's meet on Friday 20th March at 7.30 for wine and cheese nibbles, Annual General meeting followed by a talk by Rev Tim Hewes.
A full programme for 2012- 2013 will be available later in February.
